[Phyxion] 9600GT recalled, 9800X2 delayed - Page 7

I think both ATI, and Nvidia should stick to releasing new and improved single GPU cards, instead of these multi-GPU cards.

I guess you're gonna be an Nvidiot in the future then. DAAMIT has decided single GPU mostrosities are out, and scaleable small GPU's are in

Agreed. I would like to see multi-core GPU's. If I want multi GPU's I will always have the option to go SLI. Why do a lot 3870x2 users hate hearing that? If you like your card then more power to you.

I don't care how to get to the higher performance, low heat output, and decreased costs. Just as long as it is done.

Have you ever tried using Crossfire or SLI in a game that doesn't support it? Its not a very fun experience but atleast with CF and SLI using two seperate cards you can turn it off and revert to single card use when playing such games. With these multi-GPU cards you are kind of forced to only play games that support it.

Read this review by X-Bit Labs and tell me that the X2 is a good buy right now when its matched or beaten in 42 out of 53 tests by the cheaper single-GPU stock clocked Nvidia cards. I have a feeling that by the time ATI produces proper drivers for the X2 the 9800GTX will be knocking it in the dirt anyway.
