Crucial/Micron D9 overclock limits - Page 3

Now @ 1186MHz using 6400 (800MHz) ballistix @ 5-5-5-15 6hour prime95 stable. Looks like it is true at least for 800 and 1066 D9 sticks. They do overclock the same to around 1200Mhz. To those reading this thread, I would purchase 800Mhz sticks over 1066Mhz sticks when overclocking based on the results in this thread as well as my current results. Of course, results may vary

The Powerchip IC's on a few 2x2GB kits are very nice overclockers... the ones in particular are the Mushkin Redlines and the G.Skill DDR-1000 "PQ" kit. Both are under $150 for all 4GB

My Ballistix 1066 so far would only go up to 1125Mhz stable on 17.5 hours on Memtest @ 2.2V.Anything higher than that and and it won't boot at all.Is it ok to run these at 2.3V to see if it'll OC higher? These are the double sided D9's by the way.I also recently ordered a new 2 gig set of 1066 Ballistix at the "egg" and when i got them, they were the single sided one's.These one's OC'ed all the way to 1160mhz @ 2.2V for 23 hours.Funny thing is at about 23 hours and 40 minutes,i got a couple of errors and i just thought that was funny since i was only a couple minutes from 24 hour stable test.So next time i'm going for 48 hours on my memory tests.

1220 5-5-5-15 was the most I could manage on 2.2v. I never stressed them but booted @ 1000 4-4-4-12.

Have you tried increasing Trfc? That's a very important timing for very high overclocks.
