NF41 audio driver woes

Yesterday, I threw together an extra rig from spare parts I had around the house, including an EVGA 133-K8-NF41 motherboard. I'm running XP, and got everything running smoothly, except I can't get the sound working to save my life. I've downloaded all the latest drivers I can find, including the 1.85 Realtek audio driver and the 6.86 chipset drivers (which include another audio driver).

In my device manager, I still have a "multimedia audio controller" under the "other devices" tree. I've tried manually installing the drivers for this device by installing from a specific location, and pointing to where both the realtek and nforce drivers are installed, but no luck in either case.

If anyone can help, I'd really appreciate it, caue this is driving me crazy.

Oh well. I found an old SB Audigy card, popped it in, DLed the drivers and was up and running with sound in under 5 min. I hate onboard sound...
