Mr. Q, this might give you a more consolidated view of the sawing process: CLICKY

I hope that helps.

Wrapped these up this morning:

There's tons of detail stuff left to do, but it's all starting to come together now.

We have been enjoying the detail you have done already! Can't wait to see what you got in store next...

I'm guessing your going to be air cooling your cpu? What system setup you throwing in the rig?

Yeah, air cool is the plan. As far as the system, I'm actually sorting through that right now over on the intel forums. No plans for tri SLI or anything like that, but I have a decent budget, so it should be capable.

Thanks Repo.

For the record, I can't take any credit for that motherboard tray etc. I haven't done anything to the stainless steel beyond dust it once or twice with a dry rag. I also wouldn't disparage your own work in the slightest. I've done my fair share of shaping/sanding/priming/painting filler and that's easily as much work as what I've been doing here.

Thank you Compfreak and MrQ.

Here's the days piddling.

Needed to remake all the custom fan leads for the new controller:

I'm getting a little better at soldering:

New leads (minus one I forgot until later):

And some dabbling with wire management:

That's kind of a slick little deal there. I picked up some of those little black plastic screw down hoops from the hardware store. A couple bits of clear double-sided 3M "magic" tape, and it seems to be holding fine.

That's all for tonight, and probably all til next weekend. Gotta go back to work tomorrow.

EDIT: almost forgot.

I tested it out, and we have liftoff!

Edit again: The fans were spinning when I took that shot. I must have caught them lol.

Looking very clean and neat warf. It will look amazing with the lights and hardware installed.

Hope to see you in the 2008 case mod competition.
