Almost Done?

Thread Starter
Well, as some of you know I posted some questions about building new PC. At first I was set on AMD, but due to many recommendations I decided to give Intel a chance

Here are the parts:
CPU: Intel E8400
Mobo: Gigabyte GA-EP35C-DS3R
Memory: G.Skill 2 x 2GB DDR1000
Video Card: ATI X700 (Reused from old build, this is not gaming machine)
Power Supply: Corsair 520HX
Case: Coolermaster CM690
Hard Drives: WD 36GB Raptor SATA, Maxtor 300GB SATA, Maxtor 500GB ATA

I'm still waiting for memory to come in to finish up and install OS. Not sure about overclocking yet, but if temps will be low enough I may do something mild. If temps are high, I'll probably order TRUE and still do a mild overclock

Anyway, here are some pics. I know it's nothing special and probably something most of you see everyday, but I love it.

The mess

My dusty PC...

Thanks. I'm gonna keep stock heat sink for now. This system isn't for record breaking overclock so big heatsink doesn't really matter, but I WILL get T.R.U.E. sometime down the road.

And yea, I love my three blade Delta

How's the airflow on that CM690? Also, is it completely tool-less?

Air flow supposedly very good, but I'm not gonna lie - I'm no expert at this stuff so I can't say for sure. There are couple dedicated threads in the "Computer Case" section about this case and contain a lot of good information/pictures.

I know that this case takes serious amounts of fans. One front 120mm, two top 120mm or 140mm, two side 120mm or 140mm, one bottom 120mm, one rear 120mm, and one 80mm on the back of the motherboard. It comes with three fans stock: front 120mm, side 120mm, and rear 120mm. I bought extra 120mm for the top and I think that'll be plenty.

The PCI cards, hard drives, and 5.25" are all tool-less and have very nice system. Much easier to use than others and works flawlessly. I especially like the hard drive ones because they position them backwards and hide the wires.

You can never have enough airflow... I have 9 fans in mine.. 2 in front, 2 on side, 2 on top, 1 on bottom, 1 in back, 1 below MB.

The Corsair 520HX is modular so he can unplug all the cables hes not using. (very inefficient performance wise)

Most of us here at OCN love seeing computers especially when there panel-less!

That's as good as it gonna get for this build... I'm not really sure how to make them better anyway.
