Thread Starter
Im usin utorrent and it's speed has slowed to a crawl. Only 1 download and it gives a speed of 1.2kb/s. My connection is 512kbps. It says firewall/router blocking connection. I dont have a router. How do i free a port for it?

You're router\\firewall is not blocking the port. If it was you would be unable to download anything. Most likely either your ISP killing your connections, the torrent itself is poorly seeded, or you're having bandwidth problems from your ISP. Check your speeds at speedtest.net to verify speed. Try downloading a different torrent to check to see if the torrent itself just isn't seeded well. Try downloading a non-torrent file to try to verify if teh ISP is killing your torrents (download something off download.com etc). If your ISP is killing your torrents turn encryption one in utorrent and change the port you're using to torrent from to get them off your back
