i had decided to buy my computer part by part so i bought ASUS M2N-SLI Deluxe AM2 and a AMD Athlon 64 X2 4600+ to start off and was using parts from a few of my buddies computers. Now that found some extra money i wanted to get a nice set up i was considering selling these two parts and getting 790fx and a new phenom. (i will not buy an intel die hard amd here) But im deffentely getting one of the new 2.0 pci-e cards so i need a board that can support that. Along with a little overclocking So if anyone know if id be able to sell these parts and if so could i get much? because they are brand new only a months use on them and no overclocking.

Hmm, I bet you could get about $100 for the set. You can't post in the for sale section until you have 35 rep, but I doubt anyone would mind if you offered the parts to anyone with a "build me a computer" thread. Check the terms of use though, make sure that's not violating any.

If I were you I'd keep it though. The Phenoms aren't all that good, and there's very little benefit (if any) in upgrading to HT 3.0 and USB 2.0 right now as neither HT 2.0 nor PCIx16 are fully utilized yet. It's like adding more lanes to an 8 lane highway that only has 4 cars driving on it. At some point better Phenoms will come out and future video cards might start seeing more benefit from the newer standards, but right now it's overkill.

yeah you have a point with the over kill the more i look at it, it would be cheaper to keep these and upgrade to high end duel core little later after i acquire a 8800GT but the spider set up just sounds like an amazing idea. The more i read about it three essential components working on one plain has caught my attention other then the fact of over kill but correct me if i missed someone on spider because it does sound to good if it worked as good as it sounds.

And im trying to earn rep but im learning alot more then i can help haha

ebay it or local Craigslist. it's unfortunate you bought a system with such haste, why don't you just buy an AM2 be 5000+ for now and wait for the new Phenoms. i'm sure u can OC the life out of the 5000.
