Budget DDR3 board?

Thread Starter
Does such a thing exist? No need for RAID or SLi/Crossfire, and preferrably 45nm compatible (I'm not sure if they all are). Thanks!

EDIT: seems Google is telling me that P35 is compatible with DDR3. I did not know this. Makes things much easier! Still open to suggestions though..

Budget and DDR3 cannot be put in the same request. I believe FoxConn's x38 has both DDR3 and DDR2.

Buying a budget motherboard just so you can use DDR3 is a bad idea.

That's an ironic request, because no matter how cheap you get the motherboard, the DDR3 itself will more than cancel out your savings.

I'm not looking for budget per se, just anything cheaper than the $250 boards I see out right now. I'm just researching for a friend at work, he wants to upgrade from his S939/AGP board. I advised against it, but he wants to jump the gun on DDR3. To each their own... he has no interest in OCing, so OC ability of the mobo is irrelevant, he will be gaming, and I'm kinda guiding him in the direction of E8400 or E8500. He wants Q6600, but I told him that unless he's chasing 3DMark scores, he's better off with the E8400 or E8500. He wants his build to be done in about 2 months or so.

I'm aware, I told my friend, but he's adament about being able to upgrade to DDR3 SOON and without changing mobos.
