Should I get an iPhone - Page 2

Sorry, I'm just an iPod hater.

Anyways, it's too big. And my phone is big enough.
Not actual buttons like said so.
I like the ones (phones) that actually have keyboards.
No removable battery.

edit:
Ironically I have the Third Generation iPod:

maybe you should try and break the screen on an iphone

It is not right to spend that much money for a subsidized phone with a lackluster feature set compared to alot of other things out there.

I take it you dont own an iphone so you probably shouldn't comment on it because your very wrong about the screen.

It will not break easily if you have keys in your pocket. furthermore, the screen is high quality glass and will laugh at you if you try to key the screen.

btw i think people should mention if they even own the iphone so you can judge their comments better.

Get a good case like the the iphone revo (google it) and your iphone will be very protected. (i have had mine since day 2 and still in perfect shape)

It seems as though people that always hate on the iphone are people who have never owned or used one and I'm not going to lie I gave it a ton of crap but when I got mine I was amazed it pretty much does everything for me (and what you would possibly want to do) with the right knowledge so basically I would break it down as

Get it if:
A. your going to use it alot
B. you jailbreak it

and don't if you aren't going to do any of the above. I'm not gonna lie when you get the iphone at first it kind of gets boring fast but with the installer.app you open up soooooooo much more stuff for it and the SDK kit is coming out soon so the iphone is really gonna take off here shortly.

The iPhone's screen is made out of some kind of good glass which a quarter cannot scratch, or most things. My cousin was going OMG on me, explaining to me how the screen was.

My $100 T-Mobile Dash (made by HTC) does more than the $400 iPhone does.

It may not be as bling as an iPhone, but after playing with several iPhones, I sure like it a helluva lot better.

iPod pros:
Neat-o looking
Users can be part of the Apple mafia
Bling
Connects to iTunes (only a pro if you're an iTunes user)

iPod cons:
Stupid expensive
No tactile keyboard - I have a really hard time typing with it...
Users can be part of the Apple mafia
No 3G data
Not many 3rd party apps available for it (except for "Jailbreak" phones - which has the possibility of bricking the phone...pretty risky to brick a $400 toy)
Memory is not expandable
Battery is not user-replacable

All said and done, give me a smartphone with WM6 any day of the week over an iPhone.

I tried to like the iPhone...I really have. Several friends and coworkers have it and I've played with them several times. It just comes across as a big "meh" to me.

Have you used one?

Personally, I like having the feel of a button press to know that I pressed the key. With the smooth touch screen, there's no tactile feedback that you've pressed a button.
