Just a quick, and probably dumb questions. But I was just wondering if it is ok to put in a PSU upside down if it only has a fan on the front side??

doesn't matter how you orient it...it makes no difference...just like your motherboard being on the left side of your case or flat..same thing

Biggest thing is to make sure that the fan is not covered. Though, it sounds like yours won't be.

I can't tell from your picture because the power supply is half cut-off in it, but how much of a gap is there for the fan to suck air in from?

Its fine, in your 690 there are vent holes under it. That allows the PS to run a bit cooler by drawing cool outside air.

Hey jonnyguru, there is a bottom intake for the psu. Plus the case has feet to lift it up a little bit. There is no gap on the inside on the case, its pretty much flush almost. I just added some more pics.
