evga 780i mobo died?

Thread Starter
well i did a pencil vdroop mod yesterday and it was GREAT! and today after geting home i turn on computer and it would not boot into windows......
i tho it was the raptors but then i tryed them on my secondary rig and they work just fine.
rams seems fine....so i tested everything and end up with thinking its the mobo that died somehow no clue how....
i cant even format with that mobo....when it gets to the part where it says starting windows to get to the format drive selection screen it would just freeze.......
no beeps no codes......so im here saying WDF to myself.....

anyone know what could have caused this? could it have been the pencil mod??

i took another mobo and put it in the rig and everything booted up fine...even formated and it went smoothly....

I would try eliminating the pencil mod and see if it works. You may have allowed higher volts than you wanted to through the board. Did you test with a multimeter when you did the mod?? Just questions and thoughts.

I love the pencil mod.

Is safety guaranteed though?
