LOL you can't SLi ATi cards. And yes, you can CROSSFIRE 2 of them, but not yet. The ability to link two of these in crossfire will come with a new driver release.

I realize its CROSSFIRE.... it was a typo, I'm so used to reading SLI every where compared to CROSSFIRE.

So the only thing holding this back is driver support.... wow, I can't wait to see what 2 of these cards can do.

Is Nvidia working on anything similar? or do they already have something out?

according to some reviews I read about the 3870x2, it handles pretty close to having 2 3870s in crossfire. It's main time to shine is in high resolutions.

If I remember correctly, in lower resolutions, the ultra beat it most of the time but not by too much.

Tri sli has so little gain over regular sli, its almost stupid to pay for it.

Crossfire scales better than sli anyway. Plus, the 4870x2 is coming out in June, and is supposed to be twice as fast as the 3870x2. Thats my next upgrade, and I can get two of them for free. Yea yea!

That's really interesting, I sure hope this puts ATI on top for once.

But for now, this 3870x2 sure seems like competition for Nvidia
