Older/Smaller cases

Thread Starter
All of the cases i have lying around are small. For example, a dell 2400 is the largest case i have available...is it worth modding and putting a side window in? It would be small...but at least it has a fan at the back.

An old Toshiba case I have has a piece of metal sunk in on the back where the motherboard connects to the plug-in devices. That keeps me from adding a fan back there unless i cut it all out and mount a piece flush on the back. These are the weird problems I run into...Any suggestions on where I can get a decent sized case or IF those are worth modding?

if they are worth modding is up to you. there should be air intake in front and exhaust out the back.
Some put fans in the top and in the side and the new coolermaster even has a fan that removes hot air behind the mobo.
In the thread in my sig I am taking a cheap case (cost me $19 new) and fixing it to cool much better (originally it sucked)
There are a bunch of threads of people modding old cases here is one from Repo Man
