There is even an option to "cash out" your online cards for real ones if you decide to go back!

Anyone else play, or play the real game?
Yeah, I play the real game.

Can someone show me pictures of the "new cards"? I used to play back in 1999-2002, and have completely stopped since. I still have all my cards, good ones too. Avatar of Might, Wrath of God... are those still good by today's standards?

Yeah... I still have my Tooth and Nail deck, every card in it is a foil. Foil Ravager, Foil Glimmervoid, Foil TaN, all foil lands, you get the idea.

I think I will keep these for a while, maybe they will gain value. I remember at 1 time I had a black lotus - which is like a $500 card. And I sold it for like $50.

Not really, they are still good cards and everything but they don't see much play.

Starting with 8th edition they redesigned the cards and have been refining as well as adding new things ever since.

Here are a few examples of how the cards have changed:

Well it's only worth tons of money if it's from one of the original expansions and in good condition. It's pretty much the best card ever made, and rare, which is why it's worth so much lol.

Yea I miss the good ole' FNM, but being able to log on at 3am and still find somebody to use as a whipping post with my elves makes up for it.

Btw if you want to try it, the v3 beta is completely free. I'm just testing it out right now, but last time I played it was just unlimited booster drafts, which was so much fun.

Edit: everything in the store is free, so yea I'm going to be here for a while

8th!? That makes me feel old. I remember being excited when 4th came out... I quit right after Tempest was released. They started releasing new sets way too fast and I got tired of spending every last bit of my money to keep up.

edit: It wasn't Tempest, the Urza's stuff was the last set I stuck around for.
