AM2 Xfire Motherboard Recommendation

Thread Starter
Does anyone have any good recommendations for a XFire AM2 board that is not too expensive? How is the M2R32MVP? It doesn't necessarily need to be any good at OCing but stable and reliable would be great.

The M2R32MVP is a great motherboard and a serious overclocker too, I'd definitely pick it up.

Agreed. If you want crossfire, you really can't beat the mvp in quality/price ratio.

The Crossfire 580X chipset (the basis for this motherboard) should be phenom capable. It depends on if your motherboard manufacturer has released a bios update (very likely)

the bios is apparently crap for the phenoms, but it's officially listed as phenom compatible

i enjoy this mobo, will do 350+ FSB and has pretty good connectivity (my 9.5x multi doesn't stop me from ocing alot)

My second choice was the MSI k9a platinum but eventually went with this board

I'll have to agree with the others about the M2R32-MVP.

I stepped up to the M3A32-MVP a couple of months ago and love it even better than I loved the M2R32-MVP. If your looking to expand in the future I would go with the M3A32 MB.
