New Build, a little help?

Hi,

Im going to be building a new rig soon and was wondering if you guys could confirm i have made the correct choice and to make sure all the parts will be compatible, im a little nervous about building this new rig as I havent built up a pc in a long time but im going to bite the bullet and give it a try, ill list the parts i was thinking about getting and any suggestions will be appreciated, I hopefully want to hit around an overclock of 3.2ghz. price is not so much of a constraint so I want high-end stuff and my main concern is to keep the pc as cool as possible and i want to SLI in the future thankyou.

Case: Thermaltake Armour or Antec 900 / any better?
Mobo: Asus P5-32e or Asus Pk5 / any better?
Cpu: Q6600 definite
Gpu: 8800 GTX or 8800 GT ? ( i want to SLI in future )
Mem: Crucial Ballistix 4 gig ?
HDD: Raptor 10k rpm or 2x 7k rpm in raid 0
Cpu Cooler: any suggestions?
Gpu Cooler: any suggestions?

I was tempted to go down the water cooling road but decided against that once I heard somebody say they sprung a leak and destroy their parts so ill just go for air cooling I think... any suggestions on the above?

£1,000 will be around the max I can afford, thankyou.

8800GT is such a better deal than the 8800GTX that it isnt even funny...definately get the GT. for hard drive, i would suggest just getting a 7200 rpm drive - the benefits of a 10,000 rpm drive arent shown in gaming. as for the cpu cooler, i would suggest the thermalright ultra 120 extreme, or the zerotherm nirvana. I've had good experiences with zalman's vf-900 GPU cooler as well.

All looks good, BUT, do not get an 8800GTX, its outdating now, I suggest going for 8800GT or 8800GTS 512mb (G92), will be alot better

also, be aware that nvidia's 9-series is about to launch. I know that new tech is always "right around the corner", but it doesn't make sense to me to go high end now when the new high end cards are coming out so soon.

I would suggest 2 500gb Segate 7200.11 in raid-0 over a raptor. IMHO

http://www.specialtech.co.uk/spshop/...productid=5159 For U.K

Didn't see that till after

Case: Either one is good.
Mobo: PK5? p5k-e is good if you prefer Asus board.
GPU: 8800GT or 8800GTS (G92)
Mem: Good ram. May try GSkill 2x2 Kit
HDD: Raptor = speed. 2x7200 in raid 0 = balance of performance and storage.
Cpu: Depending on your budget, tuniq tower 120 is a good one

If your thinking of SLI, get 8800GT, then get another soon
