the 8800 GTX is outdated??? isnt it like the second best card on the market right now below the ultra??

you can get a GTX for $250 ???? the site im looking to buy stuff from, the GTX is sitting at double that..... £250-£300 UK pounds !!! and the GT is around £150

and why are people saying the GT is better than the GTX.... i thought the GTX was the higher model with more RAM and clock speed???

clock speeds dont mean much when using differant cores. and the gt is best bang for buck from nvidia atm. and with other tech that comes close and in somecase's beats the gtx for cheaper why waste your money on a gtx.

so your saying the best graphics card to go for right now would be the 8800 GT then?

and what do you mean clock speeds dont mean much when using different cores ( if its not too technicial to explain ), just curious

the GTX has a higher shader clock so on newer games like crysis
it easily beats the gt

the GTX has a G80 core the GTS has a G92 core....

so the GTS has a newer core... but that still doesn't matter much

ok wow, im cofused

on novatech.co.uk the site where i was thinking about buying my parts

the 8800 GT ( 1GB ) is £175 and....
the 8800 GTS ( 512mb ) is £185

so which one of these cards is better... or is it debatable? I always thought it went from worst to best .... 8800 GTS, 8800 GT, 8800 GTX, 8800 ULTRA

p.s. the 8800 GTX is £250+ depending on manufacturer incase you wondered

grab a GT or GTS. the xtra money you would spend on the GTX could be spent elsewhere. like on another GT/GTS

dont get me wrong the GTX is a great card but not worth the pricetag compared to the others.

as for confusion on the suffexs everyone else was confused when the new 8800gt came out too. it really should pf been called the 9800gt or something similar.
