I laugh at this WHOLE thread. I have not seen so many fanboy looking comments.

Guys. Intel may have a step ahead on this one, BUT thats does not make AMD null and void lol. Infact AMD have got good CPU's out there. Granted Intels architecture is slightley ahead but what makes me laugh is I gaurentee 90% of you did not actually think about AMD and just said '' GET INTEL GET INTEL GET INTEL''.

There is no thought process anymore it seems.

Jeez

That's 'cause they came from AMD.

AMD is still a good contender... but the guy said he wants a "gaming" PC. I still build plenty of AMD systems for your average-joe user.

I know plenty of people who get great performance out of AMD. I am still primarily an Intel user, but I don't have a blind brand loyalty, they all want your money, give it to the one that fits your budget/needs.

I agree if you are going for the best Gaming setup you can then Intel is the way to go as of right now.

I just wish people would actually think of the other products out there before ramming a product down someones throat.

Seriously its like some members are brain washed once they buy an Intel.

I totally agree with you on that one. I'm reasonably neutral when it comes to product choices, however I will quite often recommend something similar to what I can relate to, ie. my own setup.

But yeah, going for a budget machine, AMD is great. I can save near on £100 by going the AMD route.

To be honest you can ever only go by what products you have owned otherwise your opinions are not 100% accurate. You can accurately speculate on facts presented to you, however apart from that its best to only suggest what you know.

However some people will just randomly shout ''Intel'' because everyone else does...well thats just silly as you are in danger of misinforming someone and looking like a sheep for not forming your own opinion and just going with the majority just so that you do not stand out. Dont hide behind big corperate names because guess what !...they couldnt give two fiddles about you lol you wont get a cookie from them for preaching their name.

Always go with what is best for you and your budget at the time.

To be brutally honest with you if you had to get an AMD because of your budget then I will tell you now that you will not take the performance hit that you are lead to beleive. There are alot of Intel people around these parts that will preach intel and will tell you all other products will perform like crap....well I as another member of this forum will tell you to FORM YOUR OWN OPINIONS AND PROOF.

Do not follow others as its gets you know where....just look at mankinds history.
