Cool. I haven't booted a thin client yet (because we don't have them atm) but what does the default image look like? Is it very customizable? (still new to LTSP )

It looks however you want. At default.. it just looks like a normal install of the OS... no different really. What thin clients are you going to go with?

Which os? The server's?

Hmmm....we were going to reuse our old Pentium 1 machines, but then I realized just how slow they are (our previous server was 233mhz, 96mb ram ), and the business has a lack of space to put big beige boxes in. Now we're considering building cheap diskless workstations ($200 each) but that doesn't solve the space problem...are there any OEM thin clients you recommend? All we're doing is running Firefox on the clients, possibly openoffice.

Thx for answering all these questions
