Vista SP1 Released? - Page 3

Thread Starter
I installed it last night without a issue it took me about 20min to complete with rebooting. I didn't notice much of a change though but I am going to be testing some network transfers tonight. I don't know if it's just me but I do think that at login took longer to load then before the update. Before I updated it seemed like vista would preload my desktop where after it seems like my desktop started loading only after I hit enter following entering my password. <---- Probably in my head

What I don't get is how some people have it, yet Microsoft said it wasn't to be released until March. Then also some people (like myself) still don't have it. Weird.

It's not weird so much as it's stupid. Check out THIS link. Look for the stand-alone deployment link, this one:
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=107075

It's dead. In fact any Google like "vista x64 stand-alone deployment site:microsoft.com" results in either KB articles or dead links.

It looks like they shot their wad a little early, and it only hit some of us. Me, I'm not complaining. I had some instability in some programs that seems cured since RC1. I was kind of hoping they'd replace the search function in the start menu, but no joy.

I am so completely ticked off. MSFS 2004 no longer works and nor does Crysis with this WU SP1. Grr... !

I'm still going to wait for the stand-alone before I reinstall, but I am TICKED OFF!
