[Inq] Nvidia, Intel locked in fight over CSI technology

SOURCES CLAIM INTEL is refusing to provide Nvidia with a vital piece of CSI (common system interface) technology, causing a frozen methane like atmosphere at their respective HQs in Satan Clara.

And the same sources claimed that while Intel hasn’t exactly fallen in love with AMD, it appears happy to talk to Nvidia’s bitter competitor, which, of course, now owns ATI.

Olive branches are being wafted in the direction of Sunnyvale.

Of course, Intel has its own tech coming real soon now in the shape of Larrabee – and that only spices up the fight.

Intel is, the sources claimed, deadly serious about entering the graphics fray, which leaves Nvidia between Rockall and a hard place.

For once, Nvidia has taken the role of the underdog – but we’ve no doubt at all that pugnacious CEO, Jen Hsen Huang – isn’t going to take this kind of treatment from Chipzilla. µ
Sounds like a lot of FUD, but the possibility that Nvidia won't have access to CSI is a big dramatic soap-opera like twist. So ATI might get the access? Weird move on Intel's part since that would mean that AMD would get the scoop on Intel's serial interconnect. And then what would become of Nvidia? Only providing GPUs for AMD based systems? How ironic!

The "could" give the tech to ATI, but last I checked ATI doesn't make any Intel chipsets (at least not in a while).

Intel will threaten to give it to ATI, but probably wont, that way they can get Nvidia to give them SLI licenses.

It would be nice if that happened. It would be nice to have SLI on Intel boards.

Lol, Satan Clara. What exactly is this CSI technology anyway?

Didn't Nvidia refuse to give Intel the SLI licensing? Why should Intel do them a favor lol

Nvidia just laid a log on their own back door and are not happy with the consequences, well boo hoo.
