How is it NVIDIA'a fault? I dont know all the goings on between Intel and NVIDIA, but why should NVIDIA give up their SLI to Intel just so Intel can drive them out of the market. The whole 680i fiasco with the 45nm Yorkfield quad cores was another attempt by Intel to get NVIDIA to cave in.

I hope NVIDIA can outlast Intel on this. But its kind of hard to take down the biggest bully in the yard!

They didn't give intel SLI, just so they can make some more cash off their crappier than Intel's chipsets, I bet more than half the nForce chipsets sold wouldn't have if intel could have SLI on their chipsets.

It would probably be less then half! But the NVIDIA chipset for the Intel platform is getting better with each generation. Intel needs some competition to keep the market in balance. Trust me, you dont want Intel controlling the market, or any single company for that matter!

I agree with ericoed.. Competition is what we want. This is probably just a ploy to get something from Nvidia in return. Or for them to pay more for the license, or however it works...
