See originally I was planning, to keep the P5b Mobo since i already flashed bios, upgrade to a Q6600 and vista x64 so I can double my Ram.

Lots of people recommend me to go to a diferent mobo though. I mean I have the money to do anything I want, but I rather not take mobo out, since I'm always pressed on time.
I think what your going to find is replacing your motherboard with a newer/better one will outweigh the minor downtime you will have to incur by replacing it. With that said, the Abit IP35-Pro is an awesome motherboard, rich with features. I have one and love it.

What about the Processor, will I see bigger gains in performance with a E8400 @ 4.0ghz + or a Q6600 at around @3.6ghz ?

What are the normal overstocks with good water for both with 8gigs or Ram ?

I suggest you take a look at that thread, there is some VERY good information in that thread. Its your money, so I will let you read that and decide what you really want..but personally the new E8400 kicks some serious butt.
