I'm building a lan party mini box thing and I was going to go more on the cheap side and OC a lot. The set-up I had, I was told, wouldn't OC well. Whats some good MicroATX mobos that are AM2 and can OC well. I'm going to be using the X2 Brisbane 4000+. Whats some good 2gb ram for OCing too? Thanks.

The nForce 7050 is a good chipset and in a good mobo it can be a good OCer. You shouldn't expect DFI-like OCs, but with a Biostar 7050 it should be decent. That 4000+ should probably cruise at 2.7GHz+ on the Biostar.

So what's the difference between the Biostar and the Gigabyte boards?

I just bought a gigabyte GA-MA78GM-S2H. It's based on the new 780G chipset. I'll tell you how it goes when it arrives early next week.

the Biostar 7050 is a good board...I have one and it will do 300fsb with ease....I would choose that one over the Gigabyte because there are Modded bios's available for the biostar 7050 that will help overclocking abilities by adding hidden ram settings....

you should be able to hit 3Gs with the 4000 Brisbane on the 7050 with very little effort....for ram I really like the G-Skill NQs because they are nice and cheap and clock very well...I just picked up a 2x1gig kit for 45.00

there are alot of other good mATX boards out there but some are very lacking on Bios options especially your lower end Gigabyte and beings they have soldered on bios chips they are harder to modify bios's for...

I have a Gigabyte 690V mATX board and the 1st one was junk and this newer one seems to be much better but the bios has very little overclock options and my only hope is that it Auto scales well but I dont expect much at all and infact I am just going to use the board for an HTPC and run with it...
