Thread Starter
i got my 5000+ Black Edition today , i took out my 8800GT since i was getting BSOD's adnd after searching on google people getting the same BSOD was due to power, so i ordered my PSU earlier this week should be here next week, i have my 8600GT back in for now anyways I OC'ed my CPU to 3.0Ghz raising the multiplier to 15 everything's stable and at stock voltage like many know, with my Zalman at full load my max temps are 28 Celsius do you think I can push this baby further? if so how much also my memory is running @ 750Mhz dual channel memory not 800 its at 375 so how would i bring it back up to 800Mhz? all i had done was change the multiplier

Can you push it further? Yes. How much further? Go find out You can try giving it a boost in CPU voltage (try 1.450v) and increasing the CPU multiplier to 16x. If it's stable, increase the reference clock beyond 200MHz until it's no longer stable.

As to your temps, Brisbanes don't have a good temp sensor and I don't trust them one bit. You have good cooling so heat shouldn't be a problem as long as you keep the CPU voltage below 1.500v.

As for your memory, only even CPU multipliers will produce stock memory speeds at a stock reference clock. You can read about why this happens here.

Good luck!

im at 1.4 V with 16X as my multiplier and it seems stable ran orthros without probs so far. I heard that Tom's hardware reach close to 3.5 with a 17 Multiplier at 17.5 it wasnt stable imma try to reach 3.5 im at 3.2 now though
