Q6600 Lowest Voltage Yet!

Thread Starter
Messed around some more with my FSB and MCH voltage. Dropped my Vcore. Running 3.7GHz @ 1.344v currently. If this holds until morning I'll repost a screenshot. Anyone else here go this low?

I don't have very low ambient temps. Plus my rig is in a corner below my desk. Under 60C so I'm not really worried about it.

Its not the voltage that matters though... its the voltage increase.

He started at 1.2 VID, and went to 1.34 - which is ~.15v increase. Which would be the equalivant of a 1.31 VID at 1.46v

sorry for the newbie questions all the time, what does 1.2 vid mean?

The voltage that the CPU is set at default from the manufacturer. It means Voltage Identifier.

Damn, 1.20 VID! Nice. Mine is 1.275 and I seem to need about 1.35v to stay stable at 3.2ghz. You got yourself a nice Q6600 there!
