Hey guys, Im tring to overclock my skulltrail. I like to get the most out of it... I tried setting the multi to (10x400) got 4ghz easy. But was not stable. So I uped the Vcore from 1.25 to 1.3 still the same. It would run windows but when I started prime95 I got errors and if I had more than 4 programs running I get the BSOD! I know there is alot of threads out there and read alot. Does anyone know how much Vcore volts a Qx9775 will handle? I know the normal range is between .85-1.35. But can u go past 1.35 without killing the processor?

I would say that 1.5 would be a safe over volt. Some one please confirm me. I am an AMD guy and that is how I would do it with a Phenom II that was made with the same voltage rating.

Yeah you should be able to go a little higher on the volts, considering your temps are still good. Why did you bump a 2 year topic instead of making a new one though?

I would`t go over 1.45V for 45nm CPU..

QX9775 has 85C Tjmax so I suggest you keep your core temps under 65C at all time..

CHEERS..

Probably not (at least FSB voltage) as you`re not FSB OCing (just upping multies)..

However upp MCH voltage a bit (+0.1V) just to take strain off the NB..
