Custom WC Setup - Page 4

That pump has about half the flow rate of the D5. If you plan on adding a GPU block later....based on the triple 120 rad..... I dont think that pump will be enough. If this was a straight cpu cooling only (with no planning for future additions) then that pump would probably be fine and ya might as well downsize the rad to 2x120mm. Are you trying to save a few bucks here and there? I really don't see any reason to not get the D5, it really is an excellent pump.

Thanks for the help, and I now think I've make my decision. But, are there any other pumps in the world (non-Swiftech/DangerDen) that can pump enough for a processor wb and a video wb?

It's my understanding that the siwftech/DD/etc.. rebranded Laing pumps are pretty much the proven workhorse of WC'n.

There are but, ya know there really aren't any that can hold a candle to the MCP-655, D-5, etc... pump. Very quiet at full speed, very powerful, you really can't beat it.

As for the rad, everyone uses Black ice, etc.. because they perform well and are the best.

As for the size, look up the dimensions and measure it out. Some people mount theirs off the back of their case, I kept mine internal (Pics in my sig under "tygo Tornado") since I move a lot.

I read some good reviews..
That 50Z is a pretty good pump, it has a real low heat dump,it doesn't have as much flow as a D-5 vario so I would go for a D-5 to, but the 50Z isn't bad...
