E4400 Overclock. NEED help

Okay so i am a noob im 15 i kinda know how to overclock i oc my p4 but now i upgraded and i got a e4400 i have a screen shot of my computer
Also i dont understand my memory i have 2 GB of Corsair XMS2 DDR2 800 4-4-4-12

IF YOU Look at the scrn shot it isnt that.? isnt the speed supposed to be 800 MHz

Nice overclock, your ram is doing well.
If anything, tighten up the ram timings a notch for better performance.

DDR2 800 ram is Double Date Rate ram running at 400 MHz x 2=800.

So just take the actual MHz speed and double it to fnd out the DDR2 equivelant rating.

hey...just wanted to know on how high (approx) would a e4500 running at 2.2 ghz stock could go when matted to a galaxy 650i ultra mobo?
could i expect bout 2.8?

I would think you should be able to run a 300 FSB (1200 QDR on NVIDIA chipset) with that chip and reach 3.0GHz. The good chips are OCing to 3.2GHz.

As for the motherboard, have you looked into a 750i for a budget SLI system?

If this is your ram, you should set the voltage to 2.1v as specified by manufacturer. The board defaults to 1.8v with 5-5-5-15 timmings. So with the 2.1v, you can run the ram at the rated 4-4-4-12 timmings.

i'll definately look into the 750i. But as of now, could you please help me out with achieving a 3.0Ghz? i mean, advice on voltage and QDR... and also if i should lock individual parameters like RAM and pci-e etc.

Okay Yeah that is my ram. I think im gonna put the FSB to 1200 and see how it does like that. I will Test later as of i am at school.

You should be able to hit 3 Ghz on stock Voltage
