My OCZ is melting

Thread Starter
I recently acquired the Asus P4C800-E Deluxe for my rig due to it's excellent reputation. Last night I began to install it when I made a shocking discovery, my OCZ modstream's ATX(MB) connector was black .

My overclock had been degrading rapidly recently & assumed my temps were to blame. I would only have to launch a GFX intensive game or even browse the net to trip a reboot however I also started to experience graphical glitches in the last few days.

Think I just caught this in time, what do you think?
Any ideas as to how it melted?
Luckily I am still under warranty

modular psu's will corrode so it probably started to corrode and got a few sparks in somehow..

lucky you caught it.. as it does have the possibility to fry your whole rig.

rma it and keep an eye on the new one.. if it does it again rma it sell it and buy a corsair 520hx

After my last post I contacted OCZ for an RMA & by the end of the day It had been authorized with ease. Bad news is it's going to cost £25 or $49.66 USD to return the PSU from England to the Netherlands .

Good news however is that i'm getting upgraded to the OCZ GameXtreme 600W in return so i'm still happy.

Going to keep a close eye on my system from now on thats for sure.
Will keep the thread updated with my progress as I go on
