Yet another reason to not update unless something isn't working...updates usually break ****.

On a side note, who here thinks Microshaft took lessons from Garry, of Gmod fame, when creating SP1? This is a mirror image of every Gmod10 update ever...

It has one of the best on the market.. i'd use it but the AV scan doesnt have a stop button which i found very odd.

I installed it on my moms and brothers computer and on my laptop and i love it. i just use AVG AV instead of the built in one.

Well it messed up more than just 3rd party programs for me. Once I installed sp1 from windows update I noticed my system to lag more, have more application errors(including built in programs), and when I changed themes from aero to vista basic it would take 15-20 seconds everytime. so I just deleted it which luckily didn't break anything.

I installed sp1 from a brand new vista home premium 64 bit installation, just FYI.

Yep, 3D (and 2D) CAD. We're manufacturing parts with it (small wind turbines.)

ugh. i can't stand people who say that symantec is the best at protecting everything. i had an old pc from 4 years ago and it had norton on it. the thing ran so slow on xp even with about 1.5 gb took forever to load and besides symantec just floods your startup with those damn annoying balloon popups that say "your fire wall is not active....", "update your service here" then they get you sucked in to their website where they try to convince you to buy their mem consuming software.

I would get banned from OCN if I fully expressed my opinion on Norton. It's...... bad. imo. I like McAfee.
