i wouldnt put that down to a hardware fault personally, i'd firstly try uninstalling and re-installing cod4

If it's just that program that crashes then I can't see how it could be your PSU. Or any other hardware as jaslew said.
It's possible that your overclock isn't stable, or that your temps are far too high. Did you do a long stress test on it and monitor the max load temps it gets? If not, do it.
It's also possible that just reinstalling the game might fix it. Remember to back up your profiles if you got far in multi-player.

Try what namtlade said, do a stress test for a minimum of 4 hours, prime 95 is a good stresser, make sure there are no errors, check temps, if you get errors, revert all clocks to stock, and try that, your 3.2 Ghz may be unstable.

honestly i think that it is your psu ......cod4 is pretty graphically intense and your trying to run a stable 3.2ghz with a 430watt psu.....plus hard drive, fans, dvd drive, etc.....i think the game is causing your gfx card to draw more power which your psu can't supply.....makes some sense not totally sure if i'm right....if you have the money then buy a new psu .....i would do at least 700watss with that card. keep in mind the more krap you have running the bigger the psu needs to be to remain stable.....hate to use a cliche but a 700w psu running at 500w will run better than a 550w psu running at 500w

CoD4 Graphically intensive? My X800 had NO trouble with it on medium-high and a 250W PSU...

Source --> 40FPS avg on my box
Stalker -->25-30FPS
FSX --> 20-25FPS
Any recent NFS --> Unknown, not on my system
DiRT --> Needs DX10 GPU to run
Need moar?

Edit: Also, Bioshock --> See Fear
Fear --> No FPS on my rig

COD4 is the only game I can run AA in with all other settings** the same*. ONLY. Not even in Gmod can I attempt AA or AF

**1024X768X32, 80hz, medium everything, no AA, bilinear filtering, it's what I run in most titles. COD4 lets me kick model detail up and 2X AA on...

*This only counts the titles that have the option in their settings menu. King of the Road, for example, I can max out with ease, but it's so old there's no AA option, I force 4X on it through CCC...

TestECull, you're wrong.

Call of Duty 4 ran like **** on my PC, and my card is technically better than yours.

In my mind I'm just thinking CoD4 like high GPU speeds as my core is only 370Mhz.
