E2180: $50 with the Tigerdirect MIR

OEM. I hope to get at least 3.33, but I'll push it as high as I can, keeping temps below 65C load and vcore below 1.5.

Gigabyte GA-EP35C-DS3R: $145
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813128082

This mobo looks badass.
DDR3 compatible, 8 sata ports, 8 USB ports, 400FSB guaranteed, large northbridge HS... I'm really psyched about this mobo.

MASSCOOL 8WA741 CPU Cooler: $21

http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...82E16835150082

Some of you may look at that CPU cooler and wonder what I was thinking. I'll tell you:
1) Budget. It's cheap. Doesn't it look like the IFx-14, with the in-between fan? Not as much surface area, but still.
2) I like that retention method better than those pins used on the AC7 and stock coolers.
3) Good reviews. The most consistent complaint is that it is loud; I can fix that. There is little question as to its cooling, however.
4) I've never used it before. Half the fun of doing this as a hobby is trying new products.

UGH, I need to sell some stuff to fund this transition. I have some topics in the FS section, but just a reminder:
7600GS, $60 shipped
4800+ brissy WITH AC7 cooler $80 shipped OBO
NF61S AM2 budget mobo $45 shipped OBO

I'll keep you up to date once I get the parts; they'll be here in a week.

The rest is staying the same as my current rig. I guess new computer is a little exaggeration; but me getting an intel is just as much of a transition. I don't have the money to do this, much less get a new PSU, case, more hard drives, etc.

Really, a more powerful CPU is all I need. This vid card is great, the PSU is plenty for a single graphics card, 2GB is enough for me. In fact, the only thing I'd upgrade now is HD space (yay hi-def).
