That the prices for the 8 series are dropping dramaticly?

i mean this 8800GTS is only $200>> http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814127328

Thats crazy, i bought my 8600GTS 2 months ago, and it was $200...

and most 8800GT's are about the same.

wierd...

Anywho, i now have a question: what should i upgrade with, 8800GT, 8800GTS, or 9600GT? or i could wait for the 9800GX2.... what do you guys think?

Honestly, I'm surprised the G80 8800GTS is still being sold. The only people I would see buying it is those looking to SLI. But even still, not much point SLI'ing the 320MB card.

Don't get me wrong, the 8800GTS 320MB was a great card for what it was meant to do, but it really is pointless to even look at anymore with all the other options, from the 8800GS/3850 to 8800GT/3870. They are just lowering the price on those 320MBs to get rid of stock anyways.

As for upgrading, it depends. Do you feel you need the upgrade now? The 8800GT would be more than enough for you 19" (for the most part). I honestly think a G92 GTS would be overkill, but that is up to you.

I see, well, i do have time to wait, since i dont intend on upgrading anytime soon. *meaning within 2 months*

The really big difference i noticed is the price drop on the 8600gt and 7600gt, also the 8800gts.
They all dropped a bunch. Most likely because of the new 9800 cards coming in, and also because the 8800 series is now old news
