Nvidia 9600 GT

Thread Starter
So I just purchased the
XFX Geforce 9600GT 512MB 512MHz DDR3 pcie 2.0 DVI HDTV

Anyone have any comments on what they think about this card, I have yet to receive mine from Mwave.com but am very excited about the low price compared to the 8800 high end cards.

I am thinking about getting another but right now it was limited to one per customer, but I think this is Nvidia's answer to the recent ATi card that also out performs the 8800gtx in crossfire mode.

Let me know what u think about the card

Proud Linux Gamer...

Not to ruin your enthusiasm, but this card is not even on par with the 8800GT. It's a mid-end card at best. The 9800GTX will probably outperform SLI 8800GTX, but for now, the 8800 GTX or GTS G92 are still the winner by far with the nVidia cards.

The 9600GT is a very small notch below the 8800GT 512, for like $50 less.

Ya I was a bit too harsh when saying "not even on par".

Ever heard of overclocking? If you overclock, it is possible that you can match the speed of 8800GT 512MB
