Its really not all that bad...I use 115 cfm Pana and 108cfm Sunon on my rad and over my mobo....I guess I have 11 or 12 100+cfm fans 8 of them are on my rad, and a couple of 60x25mm Sunon and at times another 4 or 5 40x10mm fans, thats not counting the ones on my NB and SB...You get used to them, I always have a TV or stereo on anyway and the fans just fade away into a white noise kind of back ground sound...Now I wimp out on the big Delta's they have a lot higher pitched sound to them....

EDIT: I guess the big fans I run are around 45 Db each or so...

Oh, then I should be fine.

Since I'm getting the Scythes, I believe. Check my other system.
I might buy the Sanyo Denki Ace 1011, but they're expensive. To get 5 of them, that's $100. lol

You know someplace had those on sale a week or two ago, I think it was Performce PC's for like $10 bux each...If I can find the link again I'll sure link you...I've never used the San Ace but everyone really seems to like them that have used them...They have a good pressure rating and thats good on your rad it will help scavenge the air through it a lot better thats why I like the 120x38mm fans on my rad...

Let me give you this article:
I got it from someone else, in which he troubleshooted me through fans.

http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=170224

If interested, you can look part one.
http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=137832

The sanyo denki ace moves really fast which gets the air moving well, and it is not that loud to the extreme to 45dba unlike the panaflo.

Hey thanks for the link......I've been using Pana 115's and Sunon 108's for along time now and the 108 Sunon perform every bit as well as the 115 Pana...One thing I have noticed is the 108 Sunon from Petra's are a 3.2W fan, the ones I use on my rad are the 6.4W Sunon...That might be the difference, I really didn't think it mattered since they were rated the same but it might, I'll have to try some of them on a rad I guess before I link anymore of them...I have a few of the 3.2W laying around that I use on my HDD cage and mobo......

And I have say I will take a 5 or 6C drop in temp's any day of the week, besides the overall temp drop with you fans depends on a lot of factors not just the fans, it will depend on the rad and if its optimized for low cfm fans like a Swifty rad is...The swifty doesn't scale as well as rad like the GTX or BIX or a PA will with higher cfm fans...Or at least not on any tests I've seen with them...

EDIT: Hey I looked for those fans on sale and couldn't find them...It was like at Performance PC or Frozen CPU places I don't usually go but I couldn't find them...

That will cause your coolant to be sub ambient. Sub ambient = condensation. So unless you condensation proof your board, don't do that.

With a decent rad you can run passive, sure. You wouldn't get the best performance but you can do it no problem.
Your avatar made my day.

I have the link. Those fans are pretty hard to find. Took me a while too. But I saw it inside the thread of the article.
