8800gts g92 sli problems...HELP!

Thread Starter
Well, I just built the rig in my sig and I have trouble making sli work. I have the bridge installed correctly, I have tried old drivers and the new ones. In the nvidia control panel, I have set it to enable sli and even put force alternate frame rendering on(sli). I get the same exact score in 3dmark06 with sli "enabled" and disabled. I get the same exact performance in all games when it is enabled or disabled, so what is the problem? Help please.

Both cards are recognized through each pci-e slot. Both cards work perfectly fine. Sli just doesn't work. When I view in 3dmark06, it says no linked video adapters so that means sli isn't working for 3dmark. This is frustrating and I might just end up selling this extra card.

I bought a xfx 8800gts g92 cards and had 2 rma it because of the pink screen of death. So i looked a bit further just to find that the card is a basically 50/50 shot on getting a 100% working card. Tons of people are having problems with this card from the fan speed not working correctly to the fan not working at all and the drivers not working right and alot of people with my same problem (PINK SCREEN.)

Hope that all works for ya i found my answer to be just buying a XFX 8800 GT and drop a zalman on it and wow. I realized i wasted the money for the GTS for what? a few stream processors. Save yourself the loot grab up some gt's and return those gts.

My scores from my slightly clocked 8800 gt crush the gts score. So just to let you know that your not the only one out there with a problem with those cards and yes i agree i think you got yourself a bad card or bridge.

Yeah I have the same setup pretty much and I'm fine. nVidia Control Panel reports SLI is enabled and everything goes as SLI should, but GPU-Z says is isn't. Did you uninstall and reinstall the drivers and clean them once uninstalled with CCleaner and Driver Cleaner Pro?

Getting SLI to work in Vista is a pain. Make sure you have all the SLI hot fixes from microsoft. Also GPUZ does not recognize SLI when using vista.

Is there an SLI setting in the BIOS that needs to be turned on?

This looks like bad new for me. I am upgrading to a 780i and Vista 64 in about 2 weeks. Shortly after that I planned to get a second GTS for SLI. Maybe I will have to rethink that!
