Yeah the older ones were a bit tougher so most didn't try. But with this new software (freeware) they've come out with, and at the speed of current PDA's, you can see a big difference. But again, it does drain the battery. I've been searching for ways to optimize the OS to let it overclock, while decreasing other OS resources to negate battery loss... I've made progress but nothing worth mentioning yet.

What do you mean by nuked software?

Verizon likes to use their own OS for regular phones which is a pain in the but if you wanna mod it.

Hmm, never tried it but I have to say it sounds tempting. I have the xv6800 with verizon, what do you recommend to OC with?? It runs pretty fast anyway, so I don't know if it would be worth the loss in battery life (which is already pretty bad), but I might give it a try and see

You want a program called "OmapClock". Search for it on yahoo. It's freeware.

It should be. I just don't think there is software available to OC a blackberry.

Option 1. Buy larger Battery
Option 2. Buy a Solar panel backpack or briefcase to power the phone
Option 3. walk around with a gas generator.

I'm a repair technician for verizon as I stated before... So I have craploads of parts, phones, parts of phones and pda's just lying around. I use an LG VX5200 under my desk to keep it level. (I'm such a lazy bum sometimes)

But I think it would be hilarious to actually bust open one of these phones, and hook a modded water cooling kit to the CPU... that snap a picture and post it.

Haha... since it's 8AM EST here, and I've been up all night, I'm about to go to sleep. But now I have a project for this evening.... My roomate is gonna crap his pants. He's also a cell tech..

I'm gonna be the first with a water cooled phone! I'm gonna do something the dutch, chinese and korean haven't done yet!

Hmm... I don't have a water cooking kit though. I do have parts to make a crappy one though. Gonna have to use small tubes. Will run some dyed water through it. And the phone? I guess I'll use a motorola V710. It's somewhat large compared to the newer phones so I'll have more room. Even though they're a PITA to open....
