Should I buy MSI 8800GT?

Thread Starter
Planning on buying a new videocard very soon to replace my 7600GT. Planning on an 8800GT or possibly the 9600GT. I want to play Crysis on my 22" monitor at 1680 x 1050. Considering this card at the moment:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814127329
Was planning on buying XFX or EVGA, but this MSI looks tempting for the price/overclock/cooling options on it. What do you guys recommend?

Get it, if you really insist to upgrade. 7600GT is a great card though. 8800GT would be good enough.

Dueling Banjos: are you using MSI drivers or ones from Nvidia?

ninjinsamax3: The 7600GT has served me well, but the 22" monitor has forced me to go to higher resolutions (1024x768 is what I used to use) and Crysis has too much candy for it.

mth91: I haven't heard much about galaxy or ncixus. I have been buying from Newegg for years and have never had a problem.

Looks like I will probably go with the MSI. I'm just wondering how much more the prices might drop with the 9xxx's coming out. This is going to be my Birthday present from my wife (wait till I tell her the good news) which is still a few weeks away, but not sure what will happen to the price on the MSI after the rebate ends next week.

Galaxy is a relatively unknown company, but their gt is a winner. Ncixus is merely the us department of ncix. They're a pretty good company. The galaxy gt has a built in vmod, and all you do is move a jumper to change voltage. The galaxy gt is a very nice card.
