6800 vs 2 x1600s in crossfire

guys which is the better performer? I always wondered as I owned both of the mentioned cards but my 6800 is dead and never had a chance to test.
It was a BFG 6800GT OC 256mb AGP card. It performed hella well and now I got two x1600 pro 512mb cards in crossfire. I actually feel the Nvidia did better as from what i see so far but.....am not sure. What do you guys think the winner of this lil battle would have been...

My vote goes to the X1600s in crossfire, for the simple reason that you'd have more VRAM to play with.

I honestly don't think the X1600 can make use of 512MB of Vram. I'd have to go with the 6800 at low resolutions and the X1600s at high resolutions.

Mostly true about making use of all the memory, as the X1600 cards are 128-bit, but either way, you've got 2 GPUs and 2x512MB of RAM with the X1600 Pros.

LOL my 8600GT's in SLi ate these cards up and spit them out while chugging a beer. I have three sets of cards lol. My original 8800GT's cards burned up and i got the 8600GTs for backups until I got my cards back from BFG. The x1600s are in my HTPC. Nvidia rocks for performance but ATi ftw in quality.
