Remove apps from live CD?

Thread Starter
Is there any way I can remove elements from a ubuntu live CD and then resave the iso? I'm looking for ways to slim down the footprint of the OS on the CD. Thanks in advance.

I'm sure there is a way... This is what we're basically doing with the OCNix project.

Pick up Slax.

It is modular, and the basic load out comes to ~ a 200 mb ISO, then you can throw in what ever you would like, modules for crack in passwords, recovering data, Windows Virus scanning, what ever you would like to use the CD for.
