how do i tell if mine is black edition?

lol ok finally understand memory overclocking...so i tried losing my memory from 5-5-5-16 to 6-6-6-16 with 231FSB , 11Xmulti and 1.5v but it didnt work. and then i tried 1.5v at 231FSB with 13x multi and default memory timings, it loaded fine but failed stress test.

DoH! I didn't notice you had a stock HSF, what are your load temps at your highest stable oc?

What is the RAM speed set to in the BIOS?
DDR2 800
DDR2 667

Please post screen shots of CPU-Z of the Main, SPD and Memory for a reference. Open it three times and post all at once

Oh, if you want to push to 3ghz and make it stable, I would highly recommend an aftermarket CPU cooler for sure.

think u could explain how to do it or explain the process in a more simple way?

thanks

yes I can....

What I do with AM2 is bump it up until Orthos fails in a few minutes and then boot into the bios and play with the settings ONE at a time and see if that helps Orthos or not...

1st i will try adding vcore as that usually does help a tad...I know ALL AM2s will do 2.8ghz on stock vcore of 1.25v havent seen one yet that wont...(Brisbanes anyhow)

Next I will play with the ram divider...I will drop it straight away to the 667 divider and loosen TRFC to 105 or 127.5 (usually the 1st one) and then I try other settings to see what helps and what doesnt....from there I try Max AsyncLat to 8 and then fiddle with others...

Havent had much issue with any AM2 not wanting to hit 3Gs other than a very early AM2-4600 that just doesnt like fsb....others will fly no problem
