It will support new 1600 FSB chips natively, without having to overclock them. Yes, that is the quad pumped number, so it is really 400 mhz (x4).

well im gonna get a 790i now instead of a 780i but doesnt make to much diffrence but i do like that i could upgrade too ddr3

Nah, not when its still 3-4x as expensive as reference ddr2.
And ddr2 is still extremely fast, I'll probably not step to ddr3 till a couple years.
