Oh didn't see that post. Thats normal. We all get 0-4 FPS on the CPU tests because the CPU is rendering that entire image, not the GPU.

Most of the time your cpu will never hit 100% load during normal applications anyways, Unless your encoding 6 Video instances at once, playing crysis in the background, and have 20 copies of trillian up while listening to 4 different Media Players.

So your temps are safe, the Q6600 Go Stepping Can run up to 70C Safe, (Though I'd never run it there while just gaming ofc, Run CPU-Z to see which Revision,Week,Stepping you have of the Q6600)

You can also download programs or some bios come with an option to auto-off your PC when your CPU gets too hot since your worried about busting your chip.

Here's an article that may give you some insight into temps/heat.

It's the "Better, More Overclockable, Runs cooler with less voltage" 2nd Version of the Q6600. When you Open up CPU-Z, you'll see It has a Stepping Version and a Revision, Go Stepping is the One most people want, B3 is the first series and may have more trouble overclocking or staying cooler. I'd suggest checking which version you have as it gives everyone a better idea of your CPU's Limitations, After which , Update your Sig-Rig with Either Go or B3 to help people help you ^^d

Here's the link for CPU-Z
http://www.cpuid.com/download/cpuz_144.zip

And Here is Hardware Monitor, which works well for checking your Temps if you don't have it already. It also tracks your min/Max to give you an idea of how hot you're getting during Gaming, Benchtesting or any time when your desktop isn't visible.
32 Bit Version: http://www.cpuid.com/download/HWMonitor_108.zip

I suggest Running HW Monitor, After startup, wait about 5 mins then write down your temp, Run a game or Prime 95 for a bit and get those temps, Run 3dMark06 which is a good Test for checking Actual Strain on your PC during High setting gaming. You can go from there =)

Speedfan, Especially the version that isn't the beta, isn't as reliable as HWMonitor, You could also download Coretemp (http://www.alcpu.com/CoreTemp/CoreTemp.zip) To compare but usually Speedfan is off and HWmonitor is dead on.

65C is your temp during Prime 95 , gaming, or 3dMark06 Can you clarify? If thats just sitting in you're room it's quite hot. Also how hot is it in your room? Here is a Converter for celcius : http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&c...D+%3Fc&spell=1
