Best computer monitor for Xbox and HD (and PC

I'm looking at the 19-22inch widescreen models. Thats really my only price range option at the moment. Was researching on newegg, and saw this guys review where he said:

Some people stated that it looked good at the 1280x1024 Res. Well from what I experienced with my very high quality vga cable is that the image was always slighty washed out. Leaving me with an ok image that is far from perfect. A non-HighDef TV has a better image. This all of course has to do with the scaling of the monitors native res 1680x1050 to a non recommended one. As of Feb 2008 the choices are 1024x768, 1280x720, 1280x768, 1280x1024, 1360x768, and 1920x1080.

I plan on using it mainly for my PC, and playing HD movies and hooking my xbox up to it. (in that order)
What do you guys think of this guys resolution claims about monitors and xbox's? Is he right? Does anyone have problems playing their 360 on computer monitors? I'd appreciate some advice... +rep for some good advice and/or information regarding xbox and computer monitor resolutions...

I play my 360 on my 22" LCD. I think it looks great at 1280 x 720 (resolution for 720p). There are no choices for 1680 x 1050, like the guy said.

My Xbox comes back Monday and I have a new 22" Samsung 2ms and I hope it'll look good. I use one of those $20 adapters to play it on my PC monitor btw.

I use mine on a CRT, because my 17" is 5:4, and stretching it makes it look bad. On my 6 year old CRT everything looks reasonably sharp, with none of the distortion you get from LCDs, and my only complain is that the colours look a little washed out compared to my 50" plasma.

I would have to recommend that you don't use your 360 on a monitor, unless you want two, because with LCD anything other than native res (1280x720) and you're just fooling yourself. This one would have the best image quality, but it isn't a very good monitor.

Personally I would recommend a smaller HDTV, but its going to cost an extra $150 or so, but it would be bigger and you would be able to watch TV on it. If I had the money, I would probably get this one, if it came in black, but I have an HD 3850 so 1 cable gets me video and 5.1 channel audio so your results may vary.

Personally, I wouldn't play xbox or a ps3 on a 22" screen, it's not up to its full capacity.
You can always wait for a bigger screen to go on sale that has HD on it.
