What's under the PWM HS?

Specifically on the Abit IP35-E? Although I guess the question may not be board or brand specific. Is it a flat monolithic IC like the NB and SB chips? Is is one or more small MOSFET devices? Can anyone post a picture of what a board-mounted PWM looks like?

Right now at idle the PWM on my IP35-E temps out at 37C outside the case. I'm thinkng I'd like to pop off the sink, clean off whatever TIM is there, and apply some Ceramique in its place. Maybe lap the sink a bit.

There are about a dozen (can't remember the right number) very small PWM chips under it.

The sink that I had was pretty flat, so I didn't lap it when I had my IP35-E, but the stock TIM sucked, so I replaced that with shin etsu.

Thanks. What was the improvement in temps?

I never monitored the temps of the pwm, so I'm not sure. I guarantee that you'll see a pretty good temp drop though.
