help me pick a power supply

Thread Starter
i'm getting a whole new rig real soon and i need help picking a good psu.

available psu in my country are: http://sg.hardwarezone.com/priceguid...uide.php?id=43

somewhere around 600w to 700w and able to power P7N Diamond, E8400, 1GB x2 crucial pc6400, 2 xfx 8800gts 512mb.

i was thinking of the thermaltake purepower 750w or the OCZ stealth extreme 600w.

Either thermaltake 750w or OCZ 600w (few issues reported) is good. A good 600w PSU should be fine. Personally, I go for Corsair 620HX but I don't know your budget thou.

That website is soooo slow.
I would go for a corsair PSU.

The OCZ psu was criticised by johhnyguru for having bad ripple.

From that list, either Thermaltake 750, Silverstone 650, or Corsair 620. Any one of them will power that system fine.

Although I think the Thermaltake 750 is a little too much for that system. The Corsair 620HX can handle that easily.

my budget's about 240 and i'll be doing some overclocking as well. might push my system to it's limit like what i'm doing to my P4 now.

I would still go for the corsair, worth every extra penny.
