yea i just took apart my PC to do some cable maitnence and then i put everything back together. And i got a beeping noise on startup. I shut down the Pc and checked my cables and RAM slots and couldn't find an error. So i booted up again and i looked at my bios LED thing to see if it was showing FF and it halted on the digits 01. Does any one know what my error is? I need help fast. thanks

i just checked my 780i manual for the error codes, and for the error code 01, it says "reserved"in the description. what does this mean

i seriously need some help here.

when i boot up this is exactly what it says...

---
Award BootBlock Bios v1.0
Copyright (c) 2000, Award Software Inc.

BIOS ROM checksum error
Keyboard error or no keyboard present

Detecting floppy drive A media...
Dire A error. System halt

---

i don't have a A drive at all? i cant get into bios it just goes straight to this screen. What do i do??

also now instead of getting an 01 error i get a c1 error which is also defined in the manual index as "reserved"

helppppp

Double check all your connections and make sure they're correct (simple things first)

If your using a usb keyboard, try an adaptor with it if you have on that fits the motherboards rear (PS/2) connector or an older keyboard that has one fitted.

okay i just booted up with that keyboard and i still get that error, the only thing different is it doesn't state a keyboard error but it still halts on that A drive error. This doesnt make any sence, all i did was disassemble a few things and put it back together, been through that like 10 times before.

If you suspect the floppy drive just unplug it from the mainboard.

Otherwise I can only think that you may have a damaged or badly connecting cable amongst those that you were moving around.
