question is it worth it to switch to a 9600gt?

is it worth it to upgrade from my 8800gts 320 to the 9600gt?

i cant find any benchmarks pitting them against easch other

what kinda difference will the 9600gt only have 64 streaming prossesors compaired to the 96 the 8800 gts has

i know the 9600gt has i thinka g94 core where the 8800gts 320 has the g82 core

thanks in advance

I would say no. If you could get another GTS and have it SLI, then that'd be good.

They should be relatively close, but the 9600GT should pull ahead. I would say, if you can sell your GTS, or step-up, go for it. Otherwise, don't.

no, this is not a good idea. You will probably get some performance increase, but not enough to switch. Either go for an 8800gt or wait until we get something like a 9800gt.

If you can sell the 8800GTS 320MB for $250, what are you waiting for? You can just upgrade to an 8800GT without spending extra money (actually getting money back). Same thing that I did.

Exactly. Sell it off for $250, or $200 even, and get an 8800GT. It should last you quite some time.

it's not possible to keep up unless you're willing to spend the big bucks... I actually RMA'd my 8800GTS 320mb for my 512mb 8800GT and it was a huge improvement. If you have extra cash, go for it, otherwise buy 2 8800GT's and SLI them when they're cheaper!

Agree. The 8800gt is faster than the 9600gt, so you should be good doing that.
