If you get a TRUE you will need to Lap the bottom of the HSF or order it lapped from http://www.crazypc.com/products/ultr...eme-50983.html

I bought one yesterday and it is for sure not flat. I went ahead and bought all the lapping materials to do for a weekend project...I guess I should get to that lol.

Yep get the right cooler now or you'll end up springing for a better one later. The ac7 is good for dual cores but just isnt up to the task of the Quad, not when OC'd anyway.

Have you read all of my previous post ? I edited it

Well, 22" samsung.. the best is the 226BW. But has no HDMI, to my knowledge, this is not a hdtv but a monitor. 226BW 22IN Widescreen LCD Monitor Glossy Black Finish 1680X1050 3000:1 2MS VGA DVI-D HDCP - 336$

But there's a new 24", which is a tad better, but 506$.

You can get a 5:4 1280x1024 for a good price. It depends if you want widescreen and a big screen, but the price go with it. Personally, I look at Samsung first for all my tv/monitor needs. In my book, it's Samsung I trust the most.

Well, it has integrated speackers, which I don't like. You're better with a sound system and a good monitor. a 226BW would be better. 3000:1 contrat over 1000:1, 2ms, HDCP, etc.

I will never trust Acer again, one time I purchased a 15" LCD, i had to exchange it FIVE TIMES over, all monitor had blue patch or dead pixels....

As for the CPU heatsink, have you looked at Thermaltake V1 ? All copper! - Measure your case for the Tuniq or Ultra Extreme, and compare.

You might want to add an aftermarket cooler for you video card - so you can overclock higher. Also a good paste. I use Arctic Silver 5 on my gfx card but they say not to use it on GPU because it is highly conductive if it leaks. I don't know about OCZ Freeze, maybe it's better.

I would choose a Western Digital 500gb over a Seagate,

RAM is ok

You might want to check the Asus, XFX, or eVGA motherbord line such as the 780i, if you plan to go sli, over the gigabyte

Logitech G5 or G9 over the Razer,

Windows XP or vista - this is a debate. I will not start it again ! XP have better performance, but is only DX9. Vista requires more of your system performance ('wow factor' - it requires more from your computer) but has DX10 and better graphics, altho some still runs Crysis in DX9.

32 bit or 64 bit ? i think you need 64 bit with the core, and also 64 bit will handle 8gb of ram instead of 4.
Ok thanks for the help. I think I'll stay with P35 instead of 780i because I don't see myself in the future using SLi.

Also, a question about the 226BW? I know it is a really good monitor, but there was some kind of lottery going on about the consumer getting different panels (ex: S panel made by Samsung, A and C made by other companies). Is that still going on right now or did Samsung fix it?

I don't know, there might be some version still circulating. I think the S was for samsung and A for another company.

I would like you to reconsider SLI - you can get 40% more performance, and if you overclock the two cards you can get even more. It's a little futureproof since, if a game lags, you can overclock the card and get another one. Instead of having to buy a newer card which is pricier.

Eh, SLI is only necessary for higher resolutions though. I'd rather just upgrade one card and only deal with that hassle instead of worrying about two cards and the attendant power requirements. Plus Intel chipsets are much easier to overclock than Nvidia ones.
